We’re fundraising strategists.
Magid helps founders orchestrate and optimize fundraising.
We focus on Series As and beyond.
We’ve worked with founders as they’ve raised 30 rounds and over $1B.
We love this point in the life of a company because fundraises are the clarifying moments at which founders figure out what it is they are building. It’s an opportunity to stop time, step outside of the day to day of company building, and tell your most ambitious story. That’s what we love, and why we named our company “Magid” which is a Hebrew word for “Storyteller.”
Fundraising is hard and you’ll only do it a few times. Each time will be different. This means that the error rates are high. Sometimes those errors are relatively small and have no impact. Sometimes those errors are significant and have catastrophic impacts - failed fundraises and dead companies.
Nearly all of these errors are avoidable.
Our goal is to work with you to eliminate errors and level the playing field between you and investors by giving you access to everything we’ve seen and know and have systematized into our process.
We think of fundraising as the opportunity to show the world your ambitions. Great fundraisers know that money is a tool which forms the foundation of enduring companies. Done well, the process builds a story that inspires faith and rallies your investors, employees, customers, and partners around your vision.
We know that we’re not the story. We’re the ghost in the background making you look like a fundraising savant. We’re the negotiating whisperers that have seen hundreds of rounds and know what you can ask for, what you should push for, and what you should leave as is. We’re the editor shaping your vision into a narrative that stands out in a crowded market. We’re not interested in telling founders what to do, we’re interested in helping you understand the dynamic in front of you and making the best risk adjusted bets that you can.
We’re building a small number of enduring relationships - not a factory. We mostly say no so that we can focus on the few founders most likely to build the future’s largest companies.
We win when you win. We invest our most precious commodity - time - in the founders we believe in most. We can’t think of a higher bar.
We’re always happy to talk.
